This organization continues to operate for the purpose
of helping New Orleans musicians and their families who were extracted from their homes and livelihoods due to Hurricane Katrina.
New
Orleans and it's musicians have contributed so much to the world, that we wanted to do something to give back.
These
New Orleans musicians are still displaced all over the U.S. The need continues..... Some are homeless, have few
clothes to wear, some have families to feed, some have medical needs etc.
If you have any questions or can help in
any way, please email Cynthia Chen. She will direct assistance to the artists who are in dire need.
We thank
you for all the assistance that has come in so far, and it is only because of your caring contributions that
this has been possible.
Please check back on this site for more information. Meanwhile, we appreciate all your
offers of help and good wishes and look forward to serving the New Orleans Music Community in the near future.

CALIFORNIA PIANO NIGHT BENEFIT Sunday May 25, 2008 Benefit for Sylvia Palmer and her daughters. We met Sylvia and
her daughters, Angela and Sarah right after Katrina. They were one of the many families that called NOMRE. Here it is three
years later, and they are just moving back into their home which was gutted after the flood. Basically, they are starting
their lives over again. This years Piano Night Benefit is for Sylvia and her girls. We want to thank everyone who has helped
in this effort. Sylvia has been a piano teacher for many years and both her daughters play musical instruments. We at NOMRE
wish them the very best. We love you Sylvia, Angela and Sarah!
